Although moments spent at every spot during travelling leaves us with good memories, yet there are definitely a few spots that we absolutely love!

This blog post is all about spots that I absolutely loved in Mauritius!

1- Bel Ombre Nature Reserve

This comes under the category of special spots as we visited it on my sister’s birthday! We visited many view points that day but this one! I wish we stayed here for longer as this place literally looked like a dreamy and dense spot as seen in fairytales! Waterfalls, dense parks along with the views of mountain! What else could feel more aesthetic than this!

2- Château De Labourdonnais Waterfall

Although this place is majorly known and actually named after the palace, we had a wonderful and serene time sitting next to the waterfall! Moving to the extreme opposite of the palace, after crossing the garden, there’s a way downstairs to these waterfalls! So interesting right! There’s literally something magical about waterfalls! I remember feeling that sense of tranquility while getting wet as I was sitting under the waterfall with my mom!

3- Grand Bassin

Another beautiful place with such a divine energy! A kind of energy that filled my heart and soul with peace! This place is more of a temple than a place. A temple that promotes hinduism in this diverse island through idols of Gods and Goddesses and Hindu practises such as performing aartis, ringing bells before entering and donating. The air all around was just so pure and relaxing! Also there was no crowd and it was just us and this added to more enjoyment! Highly Recommended!

4- Kaylasson Temple

Although I remember not spending much time here due to the hot temperature and the floor that felt so hot to walk on with bare foot, this temple looked different than the usual temples we see! Bright shades of pink, blue, orange, yellow, red, these were colours seen in the architecture of the temple! What made it look even more unique were the idols of Gods and Goddesses on the architecture! I recommend to visit this temple during the sunset!

5- Tamarin Beach

Located in the west coast of Mauritius, this has to be one of the best beaches we visited in Mauritius! Why? Because here you will find water in the most serene and aesthetic shades of blue, unlike many other beaches here. Also because this beach is for surfers and hence you are likely to find no crowd here, which is actually a quality of this beach! The cleanliness is really maintained here and thats the best part! Highly recommended if you do not like crowded beaches!

6- Caudan Waterfront

Best place you can find yourself in to eat delicious meals and explore the city life of Mauritius which can be experienced mostly in the capital of Mauritius, which is Port Louis! This place, which is a mall actually, is located in Port Louis. Here, you will also find the popular, Umbrella street! Being in this place feels like celebrating a festival! This place is mainly known for its waterfront where we spent most of our time sitting and clicking!

7- Île Aux Cerf Island

Okay, This one is on the top of the list of best spots! This island, which is just an hour away from Trou D’eau Douce village but feels like another exotic and tiny country! Just imagine, white sand, turquoise water and cool air all around, gives a perfect beach day vibe right! I remember myself walking on the fine white sand that was so peaceful and at the same time fun! Even if this island is hours away from the area you’re living in, I highly highly recommend you to go to this island cause this island is just perfect!

These are all the spots that I feel are special and should come under ‘Must Visit in Mauritius’ category!
