Indians were capable of gaining Independence after 200 years of British rule BECAUSE while the country was ruled by Britishers, our pride was at stake. Our independence was at stake. What about now? Is the PRIDE, is the INDEPENDENCE not at stake? Why, because it's just about one gender? Even after having a strong political framework years later, why are women, which is half of the population of India still struggling for freedom?

A rapist, a murderer will just get locked inside the bars instead of getting killed?!
Sources tell that many of the rapists earlier were granted bails and released?!
Is this the JUSTICE that the government of India believes to give?!

If cases like these and other cases that occur on a daily basis to so many women are taken seriously, India will be a better country!

It's high time that we start thinking about the laws enforced as well as the punishments introduced by the government which will actually put an end to these disgusting crimes, each Independence Day and not just obsess over the freedom we got from foreigners!
