Bangkok, the city we arrived in after being in Bali for 30 days, has a typical city life! More than beaches and nature, here you mostly get to experience the lights and sites of a typically developed city!

However, this city has some of the most amazing temples in the world! Not just one, we visited a few of them this day!

I remember, we actually wanted to visit a famous museum there but couldn’t as it started raining just at the time we arrived and hence it got closed! We got to know that there are many temples that we must visit and then we headed towards the temps while trying to escape ourselves from the mild rain!

We do have a few clicks of us at the entrance where we stood and they have a beautiful background of symmetrical Thai architectures!

We took a ferry to reach to the Buddhist temple called ‘Wat Arun Ratchawararam’ and on the way, through our windows we could see magnificent views!

As soon as we reached here after a ride of approximately 30 minutes, the weather turned from rainy to sunny! extremely sunny! I couldn’t stand in the centre for the entire time honestly but the view in front, it was just WOW! The structure of the temple was so tall in structure and uniquely symmetrical and dazzled in white colour! This was one of the most beautiful and unique temples I’ve seen till now! If I have to appreciate this place in one word, I would say, ICONIC!

Also this temple wasn’t just a view that we could see from outside and we could also step upstairs to this to see the iconic details of the temple and click grand pictures! The temple was shining and was maintained very well! It had a peak on the top that looked like a peak of a mountain like almost every other temple in Thailand and other buddhist temples. Each angle was so defined and photogenic and hats off to people who designed, prepared the concept and built such a piece of architecture!

After a while we moved outside and just thinking what place we’ll visit next, that’s when the an uncle started talking to us about another temple, called ‘Wat Hong Rattanaram’ which was not known by many people however and couldn’t be found as a location online either! It was just a few minutes away!

The exterior of this place was so calm, yess it looked calm! The walls had symbolism hidden in shining yellow gold thick strip! By the way, we were the only ones to visit and no one else in the entire temple! Beautiful idols and a tray of lotus in water could be seen where we clicked photographs! We visited and clicked pictures at every corner outside and just relaxed ourselves as we were tired of being under the direct sun until it was time to open the praying room!

We waited as that uncle said that it will open in some time and now it did!

Divine! It looked! With a huge statue of Buddha in the middle in Gold! The room was all gold and the way it looked and we felt, it couldn’t be described through words! It was decorated by large pieces of embellishments near Buddha which were huge as well, around or more than our height! Intense warm colours like red, yellow, gold and orange could be seen here and this place was huge! The best part is that we were the only one experiencing this beauty and divine energy around us and no rush to degrade our experience!

That uncle who took us here was extremely friendly and talked to us about their culture and wanted to know more about our culture and the city where we lived. He even talked about a movie in which Alia Bhatt was the lead and how much people appreciate it and the fact that its so popular in Thailand! He even told us about a few basic words in Thai that I do not remember now honestly.

After spending so much of time here, we headed towards the exit while still in conversation with that uncle and he suggested us very strongly to go to a very famous and must-visit diamond shop nearby through the rickshaw called tuk-tuk there!

This shop had a lot of jewellery of different stones and my eyes were on the chart which had information of birth stones provided on it! By now I was really tired by the way! The jewellery associate was showcasing the gold jewellery, rings especially the rings and that’s when my sister looked at the reviews of customers who purchased from this place and the reviews were not good and without wasting our further time here, we politely took an exit and now the afternoon of the day was slowly coming to an end!

We again sat in the same tuk-tuk that took us to the stand where the ferry stood, this ferry was empty too, we literally were really lucky that day! This time, we chose the upper deck and the views that we could see while the ferry was moving was beautiful! It soon became very pleasant and I really started enjoying it as it felt so relaxing after bearing the harsh intensity of the sun because of which we got really tanned by the end of our travel!

After a while, we reached to a mall which was somewhere in Maha Ratchawang to have our meal and this when you move upstairs, it was open with a beautiful view of the water and the ferries moving across! We made a few shots here until dad was deciding the restaurant where we’ll eat as many of the restaurants in Thailand do not have vegetarian options! It was really pleasant and this is the time during the travel when you know that this is your last spot of the day where you’ll relax more than wander and then back to the accommodation!

We ate burger and wraps here if I remember that rightly and when we moved out, the natural light was gone, by this I mean it was almost happening to be night but we yet made the most of this time and stayed here for quite long, relaxed and clicked pictures in the time of the twilight, that’s when you have the prettiest pictures!

And then, back to home! (Accommodation for a week I mean)

Overall, I absolutely loved the time we had at all these places, I majorly loved this mall and temple, ‘Wat Hong Rattanaram’
