This blog is all about our day 3 in Bali!

Day 1 was spent in the car as the accommodation from the airport was hours away!

When I think about the moments we had, am still in awe!

Our day 2 began with waking up by the sound of the beach! As soon as we woke up, we walked to the beach which was where our villa in Amed was situated! We lived in this beautiful beach house for a week!

This day was all about being on the beach and relaxing at home! We did do a lil grocery shopping! We explored like a local, looking for services like laundry and food delivery but before that, lunch of course! Breakfast was already provided and it was delicious! Fruits and pancake! We had different fruits and pancake (of chapati’s size) for the entire week as our breakfast! we also looked at few accommodations that we can consider to live in after a week. I remember us looking at two rooms with a beach in the front and guess what…that was the same beach called Amed beach that we had in front and we were in the lane basically!

So then, we started walking on the beach, in the lane to get to our house! The walk was long but we enjoyed it, I was a lil pissed about something that I do not remember now! It transitioned into evening by now and got quite dark.

After a while, we finally reached!

We relaxed at home and I also remember myself journaling! I tried to put our entire travel journey in french for the entire month so that I remember later and read it! I tried till the very last day!

We ordered dinner at home as we were done exploring and were tired by now!

That was all about day 2 and now lets just jump into Day 3!

Day 3 was super super long! This is where the travel diaries actually start from!

Our very first spot was the famous, Lempuyang Temple!

This hindu temple is quite up the hill and hence there was a bus to take us all up there!

It was a lil crowded and everyone were given a number to get photographs clicked at the famous, candi bentar here, this means the split gateway in Balinese! This split gateway is popularly known as ‘Gates of Heaven’

It seriously is!

Till then we were enjoying standing in front of the actual temple and trying out our digital tools to get pictures and videos!

Not just the temple, there was more downstairs! It was like picturesque, but make it ancient! We spent some time there and headed back to the temple and this time, we stepped upstairs! There were many stairs by the way but the actual temple wasn’t opened for visitors especially in that timing. The view, however, is awesome! The entire place could be seen from this one corner and the greenery around as well!

It was actually fun for me to step up and down these long stairs and we also clicked a lot of boomerangs!

After a while, it was finally our turn and we had beautiful pictures clicked by a photographer here, by the way, the used a mirror to create the reflection! The backdrop behind this gateway was the blue sky with the sun softly peaking in! The clicks are beautiful! It screams Bali! There are so many pics that its tough to choose! This was pretty much everything that we did in this temple!

I just love how all the visitors are kept engaged with such activities in the temple!

Now if you think that is the end..then…no no no! After the exit, it was time to now descend and we were considering ways to do so! One was to descend on a scooter with the guide which seemed a lil scary and another was a short trek to see other temples and beautiful viewpoints and this is what we chose to do!

The trek was just for around 15-20 minutes! The driver who was a guide as well took us here. This was quite an off spot and not a single person could be seen here!

Again, the temples were not open but the view from up here was just amazing!

This entire spot seemed like a spot that happened to have quite a significance in the medieval time, this is just a thought in my head that entered after looking at the concrete brown and grey architectures and stairs!

I remember, this place too had a big split gateway (split gateways have a significance here and you’ll see them at every religious spot) This is where we had a few family clicks and as there was nothing much here, we moved downwards now! I was really tired by now!

It was again the bus that took us down the hill and then we moved towards the parking!

The driver, by the way, was a really good guide and down to earth!

While we were in the car, dad bought a few snacks, these were chips that we munched all the way till we arrived the next spot!

It hardly took around 5 minutes to reach this spot, I do not remember the name honestly.

This was a spot with aesthetic photo props which were seen after we stepped up the staircase and not just one, three! The purpose of this place is to get signature pictures of Bali get clicked! Why am saying this is because of the beautiful backdrop behind just like the gates of heaven!

The very first prop was this big nest with a beautiful white staircase! Just look at the sky and clouds in the backdrop!

The photographers here too used a mirror to create a reflection effect, we took many pictures from the phones as well!

The second one! Two statues of gods and in between was a firm and round white rock, this was the spot! So Divine! Isn’t it? The fact that the backdrop isn’t at all edited and yet looks so amazing!

Third and the last one now! This one was an enormous and round swing with bedding and pillows inside! I remember us being the goofiest here! From hugging to fighting poses, that’s how it was for me and my sister! If I had to count the photos taken at each spot here, these would be more than 100!

From sleeping to looking at the sky, we took so many!

We also have the sun in the backdrop in these pictures! It looks like a shining hole in the sky like a mini portal to another world! Also the gradient of three! Two different tones of blue and white, with the clouds, in between! Ethereal!

It was really really hot by the way! It was getting tough to stand in the heat in the end!

Although beautiful but just a spot with picture props this place was and hence in the end we quickly moved towards the car!

Now we were heading towards the third and last spot for the day, I didn’t honestly want to travel more as I was extremely extremely tired, I even fell asleep in the car! The hot weather majorly added to the tiredness!

This was Tirta Ganga! A spot that was so lovely that we wished we had some more time to spend here but couldn’t as it was late afternoon and the place had to be closed at 5 (almost every spot in Bali closes at 5) We had even thought of visiting this place at some other day but we couldn’t!

The very first thing that captured our attention here was the big pond of fishes! Fishes of many kinds! Feeding them was an activity here that only we were seen doing! Dad bought the food from the counter and we sat down to feed them!

It was just crazy, the way these fishes were so excited and gathered altogether in front of us! Their mouths largely opened for those small granules!

Not multiple, an entire shoal of them were gathered! It was a bit scary to me as they were even trying to jump to grab the granules and hence I sat while maintaining a lil distance with the pod!

However, we enjoyed a lot and we kept on feeding them and bringing more packets of granules! We fed them for more than half an hour and then, time to get up and explore this large place!

Now we moved towards the sacred river for which this entire place is known for! Elements that added to the beauty were the firm stones in the river as paths to cross the river and by now you can guess, I was even scared to do that!

However, it was such a fun!

This place a wonderland! The beauty is beyond of what is called, perfect!

After a while, we started exploring further and it didn’t at all feel like we’re travelling in 2022 and actually in medieval times! I didn’t knew that such beautiful places that looks like heaven exists!

Staircase, bridge and especially the tall fountain! The serenity that each element held here was unbelievable!

Not forgetting the greenery and different species of flowers at all which is the life of the beauty in Bali! No matter what spot you visit!

There are sculptures and stamps of demons at almost every spot which has quite significance and a history behind it.

These were the highlight of one corner with the stairs in between!

The scenes, beauty, weather, sky every thing about this island is just so perfect and aesthetic!

Not just this, this place also had swings where I sat and refreshed myself while mom and dad were getting pictures clicked on the enormous grey bridge on the river which was surrounded by beautiful trees and bright pink flowers! The design and the sculptures of demons joint here were interesting to look at!

As we explored further, it felt like stepping towards a deep forest! Unlike the bright and colourful scenes, deep green trees of different species and stairs were seen here!

Soon it was time to leave the place as it was already 5! We really wished that we could explore more! The beauty of this place is just unbelievable!

Now you know why I called this day super long, although we were on the way to home after 5!
