The best part about Mauritius for me is the balance! Mauritius is a small island with not just scenic landscapes, water and nature but also a city life!

Living in cities like Quatre Bornes and Grand Baie for many days, we had mostly seen the beautiful beaches and viewpoints but each time we wanted to have a good dinner, Port Louis, we used to think of excitedly because it had the best food and best malls to shop and have leisure time at! Even though, the good part is that you’ll find small and cute cafes to eat everywhere but as vegetarians, we didn’t find many options to eat and the quality of the food wasn’t up to what we expect. So Port Louis was the city our dad used to drive to.

Port Louis has many malls but my absolute favourite will always be the one we visited on my sister’s birthday, it was our day 3 in Mauritius and we visited, Bagatelle Mall!

We had a small and sweet birthday celebration in this mall and oh my! The mall was huge and had enormous show pieces of a cutie teddy bear, silver in colour with a table and sitting area! I found it extremely picturesque and cute! This mall had a super luxury vibe and comfy spots in the middle. The supermarket here had so many sections and we got a few souvenirs as gifts for my sister and me from here and we literally spend most of the time here!

In the end, we were absolutely tired and that’s when we entered the neon food corner of this mall, yess I call it neon food corner. The large boards with name of the restaurants were written in neon and there were neon signs everywhere! I love neon theme and this corner was all neon! Although, all these franchisees were closed down till the time we got here after shopping and we had an exotic salad with spiced up noodles and after that had a small cake cutting on that cute teddy bear sitting spot and ate delicious desserts!

Overall, I found this mall very chique, it is a place where you can shop for absolutely anything and I loved this mall!

Next mall that we visited is called, Caudan Waterfront. This is an area for which Port Louis is known for! This place is not just a mall with a super luxury interior, but this place also has a beautiful waterfront and we spent most of the time outdoors! This is not it, in one of the pathways you’ll see hanging umbrellas in all bright shades of colours like blue, orange, yellow, pink and other colours. A lot of buildings different in symmetries and height we saw and the sight of such architectures all around us perfectly gave us a typical vibe of a city life!

The interior of this mall was very elegant in colours like black, white and subtle gold and we could see the shops of products like perfumes, books, handmade goods, cosmetics and jewellery of silver and gold in a row, which we did look and found them, again I’ll use the word, elegant 🖤

On the other hand, the outside area somewhat had a boho vibe and the souvenirs the shops here sold were different too! Multiple items were displayed like, dresses, crystals, magnets, statues and footwear in the same shop!

We stayed here for many hours, almost an entire day and we did come to this place again! Such an amazing place this was, no wonder why Port Louis is known for having a huge spot like this!

The next mall we went to, I really can’t say much about this one as we made an entrance here during a late hour, 10 or 11’O clock here seems like a midnight as almost everything gets closed. This day we shifted to the last accommodation in Grand Baie and this mall, called, La Croisette mall is in Grand Baie.

The fact that we still stayed in this mall despite of every shop and restaurant closed down had such a goofy time clicking funny pictures! We sat on the bench which was placed in the middle with a huge cycle show piece, lavender in colour and an artificial flowers set up on the benches, this is where we literally spent most of the time sitting 😂

Because these were are last days in Mauritius, we literally had covered almost every spot and all we wanted to do was just relax and enjoy at any spot, basically, we didn’t had to rush and manage our time as everything we had covered.

This place had a vibrant ambiance outside the mall and there was no crowd as well!

The very last mall that we visited again is etched in my mind because of its extremely vibrant exterior and also because we visited this place during our last days here, this mall is called, Mahogany shopping promenade mall!

I remember we visited this mall in the last days and unlike in the previous place that we visited during the day time, we visited this one during the night time after exerting for almost and entire day and were really tired! But the bright pop art on the walls seen which was a part of this exterior instantly made us feel a lil energetic!

This exterior also had a huge, somewhat triangle in shape, glowing structure just to enhance the beauty of the exterior even more! Inside, it had shops on each floor with delicate items to shop like every other mall and outside, the space was occupied with restaurants to dine in and it was heavily crowded and we decided to go to our accommodation and eat. We actually left this place quite early and didn’t spend much time time inside the mall.

We did go to many malls but just to purchase a few souvenirs and eat, mostly during the night time but I do not have much to say about those places as we visited these places with an only intention to shop and those places are many! Either inside or near Port Louis and Grand Baie. Overall, I found all the malls in Mauritius amazing and all of them I’ll say had something different and unique items to shop.
