Uluwatu temple is a cliff temple in Bali and is situated in South Kuta, an area where we lived, for 3-4 days. This temple is the GEM of Bali!! It is a temple, a divine place filled with magnificent beauty everywhere! This place is such an idealistic place with no imperfect corners. We were on our way to Ubud and this temple was on our way, I am so grateful that we didn’t miss this place! And we reached just before the sunset hour!
The first thing we did was to have a meal at the restaurant inside. I just remember one food item that we had, Chap Chae, a salad made of boiled vegetables! It was delicious! The view in front was a playground with slides for small children, colorful blossom trees and the pathway for walking ahead!
After a while, we got up from our chairs and started walking and took photographs at spots. We stopped in front of the entrance of the worship area for native balinese people and ahead comes the most beautiful area which makes visiting this temple worth it!
A pathway with a view of two temples built on the sea! We were mesmerized with the view thinking, is this real?!
Frankly, I was really tired as we were traveling from Tabanan to Ubud (both are the regencies in Bali) and before this we even took a tour at Jatiluwih, Bali’s largest rice field! But I felt a little energetic on this spot, this place was so magical! The flowers, plants and each and every entity here was so beautiful and vivid in color!
This was the sunset hour! Perfect time, perfect weather to enjoy and PERFECT SKIES!! though we still wished we could spend more time at this magical place!
This is not the end! While standing on the same spot, I was curious to see what was ahead and after walking for a few seconds ahead, we took a turn and stepped on the stairs. There was this other spot full of beautiful picturesque spots- beautiful statues, greenery and flowers around and an outstanding view of the ocean from the cliff!
We had a lot of fun clicking photographs and running here and there! After quite a long time, we just closed our gadgets and sat at one place to enjoy the beautiful moment, the beautiful view from the cliff, the beautiful soft wind softly passing through us and the transition from sunset to dusk.
Soon it was dark and it was time to go! But this was one of the best days we had during our 1 month Bali trip!
